If you are applying for your marriage license:

- Both parties must bring valid identification (driver’s license or passport).
- Know your social security numbers.
- If either of you have been married before, know the date your last marriage ended mm/dd/yy.
- If you are both Florida residents and have not taken a pre-marital counseling course from a St. John’s County authorized provider, you will have a three (3) day waiting period before you can use your license to have a ceremony performed. Fees:

- License is $86 or with Marriage Course Certificate of Completion $61
- Ceremony: $30
- Fees can be paid cash, check, or credit/debit card to St. Johns County Clerk.
If you already have your marriage license:

- Please be sure to visit us on or after the effective date listed on your license and before the expiration date.
- Be sure both you and your fiancé bring your identification (valid driver’s license or passport).
- Marriage licenses and ceremonies are issued/performed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Walk-ins accepted, no appointment necessary.
