ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla., December 29, 2025 — The St. Johns County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s Office celebrates a year of innovation and impactful achievements in 2025, fulfilling more than 1,000 statutory duties in service to residents.
“What a year! Our Office maintained an unrelenting pace in 2025, both operationally with our core duties and innovatively with programs that have strengthened our services and expanded our community outreach,” said Clerk and Comptroller Brandon J. Patty.
Over the past year, our Office:
- Revamped our website and expanded our recording services across the County.
- Recorded 2,854 marriage licenses, 19,158 deeds, 13,189 mortgages, 28 plat maps,
and 81 PUD maps. - Enrolled 11,700 residents in our free Property Fraud Alert service, which monitors
recording activity tied to Official Records. - Supported court operations for 39,975 cases and processed 4,885 pieces of evidence.
- Answered more than 91,163 phone calls through our Customer Care team.
- Responded to 2,864 requests for public records.
- Processed 2,227 petitions to the Value Adjustment Board for disputes over property tax value
or exemptions. - Paid 48,237 County invoices and processed payroll for more than 1,700 County employees.
These accomplishments reflect the commitment of our dedicated staff and our ongoing mission to provide efficient, accessible public service to the residents of St. Johns County.
One of the most impactful developments as we head into 2026 is the expansion of our Youth Services initiatives. Our revamped Teen Court program provides an interactive educational opportunity where students serve as attorneys, jurors, clerks, and bailiffs in real cases involving their peers. Scholars in Service: The Clerk Experience, provides a new shadowing opportunity for upper-level high school students, college students, and recent graduates. We’re also thrilled to expand our partnerships with local institutions and the school district as we introduce exclusive new initiatives in January.
