ST. AUGUSTINE, FL — The St. Johns County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s Office proudly congratulates Ashanti Austin, Chief Administrative Officer, on being named one of the Jacksonville Business Journal’s prestigious “40 Under 40” honorees for 2025.

“Chief Austin has always led with integrity, excellence, and a servant’s heart,” said Clerk Brandon J. Patty. “She is a remarkable leader whose dedication to public service, professional development, and community involvement make her more than deserving of this recognition. We are honored to have her on our team.”

This recognition celebrates outstanding young professionals across Northeast Florida who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and commitment to their communities. Chief Austin’s journey in local government began at just 14 years old, when she accompanied her mother to work at the Putnam County Clerk’s Office. From those early days, she developed a passion for public service that has defined her career.

Rising through the ranks with distinction, Chief Austin has held multiple roles within the Clerk’s Office since joining the team in 2017. Her deep understanding of court operations, administrative management, and strategic leadership has culminated in her current role as Chief Administrative Officer, where she leads all executive and non-court operations.

In addition to her work with the Clerk’s Office, Chief Austin brings a wealth of experience from her time in county administration and currently serves as a U.S. Navy Reserve Intelligence Officer, commissioned in March 2023. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of St. Augustine, and a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

A lifelong Floridian, Chief Austin holds degrees from St. Johns River State College, Flagler College, and Jacksonville University.
