ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla., August 30, 2024 — The St. Johns County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s office is pleased to invite residents to the upcoming Family Law Workshop. In partnership with St. Johns County Legal Aid and the Law Office of Nancy Harrison, the workshop will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 12 PM at the Richard O. Watson Judicial Center.
“Family law cases often include sensitive situations,” said John Rundgren, Clerk Designee. “This workshop series provides an opportunity for residents to ask questions about various family law topics and learn about their options and resources for navigating their case.”
“Family law matters, like dissolution, can be incredibly complex and emotionally challenging,” said Attorney Nancy Harrison. “Educating people who represent themselves is essential to help them understand their rights, responsibilities, and the legal process, allowing them to make informed decisions that will impact their lives and families.”
This is the second in the series of free family law workshops. The event is open to the public and aims to help residents understand legal issues such as divorce, child custody, asset division, and pro se filing procedures. Our goal is to ensure everyone has access to the information needed to make informed decisions while navigating family law matters.
Nancy C. Harrison, Esq., P.L., a family law expert, will volunteer through St. Johns County Legal Aid to provide general legal advice and clarify family law and domestic violence statutes. Each month, the workshop offers residents the opportunity to attend in person or virtually, ask questions, and learn about various family law topics from a local attorney.
