AUGUSTINE, Fla., October 24, 2024 — The St. Johns County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s office is thrilled to celebrate six months of successful operations for the Customer Care Call Center. Since its April launch, the call center staff has handled over 48,000 calls by providing easier access to critical government information and services.

“The Customer Care Call Center plays a key role in improving our office’s operational efficiency,” said John Rundgren, Clerk Designee. “By handling a high volume of calls and minimizing wait times, the call center has enhanced our ability to serve residents more quickly and effectively, ensuring they receive timely assistance.”

The Customer Care Call Center was designed to streamline communication, improve response times, and enhance overall customer satisfaction. By routing calls through live customer clerks assigned to the call center, residents avoid automated phone recordings and receive immediate assistance. This allows deputy clerks to focus on critical functions with direct impacts on life, liberty, and property. The uninterrupted focus is vital to maintaining the accuracy of records.

Staffed by five full-time clerks, the Customer Care Call Center offers immediate and knowledgeable support to residents. Since its launch on April 22, the call center has handled 48,778 calls, averaging 7,800 calls per month. The team assists with a range of court-related inquiries, as well as recording services like passports and marriage licenses. This commitment to live, personalized service reflects the office’s dedication to delivering high-quality assistance, whether over the phone or through in-person interactions.
