ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla., August 8, 2024 — The St. Johns County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s office is thrilled to report the successful launch of the Family Law Workshop held on August 7, 2024, in partnership with St. Johns County Legal Aid and the Law Office of Nancy Harrison.

“Our office is limited in our ability to provide legal assistance,” said John Rundgren, Clerk Designee. “We are grateful that this initiative allows us to connect parties in family law matters to an experienced attorney and look forward to continuing this valuable service.”

“The legal world can be complex and hard to understand,” said Attorney Nancy Harrison. “I enjoyed educating people about the legal system in layman’s terms. I believe the St. Johns County Clerk’s Office Family Law Workshop is important for the public to gather information about how the clerk can assist with attorneys’ explanation of the legal process.”

The workshop attracted 22 residents, who engaged actively and posed many questions. Among the key topics discussed were the complexities of child custody arrangements and the procedures for filing legal documents without representation.

Nancy Harrison’s presentation provided insightful guidance on various family law issues. Attendees appreciated her clear explanations and practical advice on topics such as divorce, child custody, asset separation, and pro se filings. She addressed these questions comprehensively, ensuring that attendees left with a better understanding of their legal rights and the family law process.
